According to the figures released by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation, 115 more cases of corona have been reported in Vadodara today. So far the number of positive cases has risen to 6991 and today the official death toll has risen to 128 with one more patient dying. A further 51 patients have been discharged from the hospital in Vadodara today. So far a total of 5,530 people have beaten the corona. Out of 1333 active cases in Vadodara, 148 patients are on oxygen and 58 patients are on ventilator and 1127 patients are in stable condition.

City: Gorwa, Maneja, Bapod, Dandiabazar, Vaghodia Road, Harni Road, Manjalpur, Ajwa Road, Ellorapark, Makarpura, Karelibaug, Atladara, Chhani, Sama, Wadi, Tandalja, Diwalipura, Gotri
Rural: - Bill, Sevasi, Vaghodia, Dabhoi, Shinor, Karjan, Padra




There are currently 2737 people quarantined in Vadodara
Currently 2737 people have been quarantined in Vadodara city. Of these, 2690 are home quarantine, 36 are quarantine in private facility and 11 are quarantine in government facility.

The highest number of 1845 cases in the northern zone of Vadodara city
So far 6991 positive cases of corona have been reported in Vadodara city. Out of which 1195 cases have been reported in East Zone, 1055 in West Zone, 1845 in North Zone, 1361 in South Zone, 1502 in rural Vadodara and 33 cases have been reported from outside cities and states.

Another 22 cases were reported in Bharuch today
In Bharuch district, 22 more cases of corona virus have been reported today. Thus far, the total number of corona cases in Bharuch has reached 1295. A further 23 patients have been discharged from the hospital today.

The trial of the vaccine from Oxford University in India will start from August 22. The vaccine will be trialled at 20 centers across the country. These include Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad. The trial will involve 1600 people. About 100 people will be vaccinated on the first day.

The trial of the Oxford University and AstraZeneca vaccine is being conducted by the country's Serum Institute. The vaccine will be launched in India under the name Covishield. According to a spokesperson for the Serum Institute, the vaccine will be tested at 20 institutes across the country, including 5 hotspots of Covid-19.

The trial will be carried out on a large scale
An agreement has been signed between the government and the Melinda Gates Foundation under the National Biopharma Mission and Grand Challenge India program. Many institutes have been selected for large scale trials of vaccines under this program.

These include INCLEN Trust International, Palwal, Haryana, KEM Hospital, Pune, Society for Health Allied Research and Education, Hyderabad, National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai and Christian Medical College, Vellore.

Apart from that, AIIMS Delhi-Jodhpur, BJ Medical College, Pune, Jahangir Hospital and Bharti Hospital, Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, JSS Academy, Mysore and Higher Education and Research, Post College, Gorakhpur The Institute of Medical Education and Research may also be involved.
