E-Sanjeev's app OPD started in Gujarat, patients will get treatment sitting at home

  • This e-Sanjeev's OPD app will reduce the burden of patients on hospitals
  • Patients living in villages will get treatment at home through this app

A state-wide e-Sanjeev mobile app has been launched in Gujarat to reduce the burden of OPD of patients in hospitals and clinics and to provide free in-home treatment to the people. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel inaugurated E-Sanjeev's OPD through video conferencing from Gandhinagar. The Chief Minister described this e-Sanjeev as an excellent means of providing free treatment at government hospitals and health centers along with prescribing home remedies for common ailments to the OPD patient during the Korona era. He said that this innovative method of getting home-based drug treatment is a timely right job at the right time during the transition to corona. Now with this e-Sanjeev's OPD, our culture of turning disaster into opportunity has become more evident.

E-Sanjeev's app features two-way video calling::

The feature of two-way video calling in this mobile app will result in more interaction between the patient and the doctor. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that in the e-age, just like financial transactions, services including city-metropolitan tax are available online, now this service of public health and well-being will also be available at home with one click. Nitinbhai Patel added that patients living in villages can be treated and diagnosed at home through this app. They will be relieved from the situation of having to come to CHC / PHC or hospital for treatment. Through this app, a system has been developed so that doctors can make a proper diagnosis and, if necessary, get the opinion of a specialist doctor and treat him according to his advice. This phone diagnostic service is a leading example of the use of modern technology in the field of health and telemedicine.
