Rahul is the first Indian to score 500+ runs in three consecutive seasons
Lokesh Rahul has become the first Indian player to score more than 500 runs in three consecutive seasons. Rahul has scored 659 * in 2018, 593 in 2019 and 509 * in the current season. Among foreign players, David Warner has scored more than 500 runs in 4 consecutive seasons. Warner achieved this feat by scoring over 500 runs between 2014 and 2017. While Chris Gayle scored more than 500 runs in 3 consecutive seasons from 2011 to 2013.
Nicholas Puran Jaspreet Bumrah's bowling was caught by Coulter Nile on a fine leg. He hit 24 off 12 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes. Glenn Maxwell was then caught out by Rohit in the slips in the face bowling for zero runs.
Gail and Agarwal could not convert a good start into a big score

For Punjab, Mohammad Shami and Arshdeep Singh took 2-2, while Ravi Bishnoi and Chris Jord took 1-1.
De Kok matched Sachin's record
De Kok hit fifty in the third consecutive match for Mumbai, becoming only the second player after Sachin Tendulkar to do so. Tendulkar achieved this feat while playing for Mumbai in 2010. De Kok had earlier scored 78 against Kolkata and 53 against Delhi. Agarwal caught it at deep midwicket in the bowling of De Kok Jordan. De Kok scored 53 off 43 balls with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes.
Rohit, Surya and Kishan out in single digits
Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma was bowled for 9 by Arshdeep Singh. While Ishaan Kishan was caught by Ashwin on the third man in Arshdeep's bowling for 7. While Suryakumar Yadav was caught out by Ashwin at midwicket in Shamini's bowling for zero.
Earlier in the day, Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat. Both Mumbai and Punjab have not made any changes in their playing 11.
