Gujarat corona update date 26 august 2020


Another patient died during treatment of corona in Vadodara city. A 61-year-old man from Vadodara's Navayard area has died. His funeral will be held as per government guidelines.

The total number of cases in Vadodara was 7340
According to the figures released by the corporation, the total number of positive cases of corona in Vadodara city and district has increased to 7340. And the official death toll has risen to 133. A total of 5705 people have beaten Corona in Vadodara so far. Out of 1502 active cases in Vadodara, 154 patients are on oxygen and 66 patients are on ventilator and 1282 patients are in stable condition.



Corona cases were reported in these areas of Vadodara on Tuesday
City: Ajwa Road, Atladara, Chhani, Nagarwada, Karelibagh, Manjalpur, Waghodia Road, Kishanwadi, VIP Road, Makarpura, Tarsali, Sama, Gotri, Akota, Ellorapark, Warsia, Gorwa
Rural: Karjan, Savli, Jarod, Dabhoi, Bajwa, Siswa, Por, Ranoli, Sevasi, Beel, Padra

There are currently 3415 people quarantined in Vadodara
Currently 3415 people have been quarantined in Vadodara city. Of these, 3360 are home quarantine, 44 are quarantine in private facility and 11 are quarantine in government facility.

The highest number of 1894 cases was in the northern zone of Vadodara city
So far 7340 positive cases of corona have been reported in Vadodara city. Out of which 1253 cases were reported in East Zone, 1119 in West Zone, 1894 in North Zone, 1442 in South Zone, 1598 in Vadodara Rural and 34 cases were reported from outside cities and states.

The vaccine is being developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca in collaboration with the Serum Institute of India. The vaccine will be launched in India under the name Covishield (AZD1222).
The second phase of human trial has started in Pune from today. The first dose was given to 5 people at Bharti Vidyapeeth Medical College and Hospital at around one o'clock in the afternoon. He will be kept under medical observation for the next 2 months. If the results are good, 300 to 350 people will be vaccinated. If the trial is successful, the vaccine is expected to be available by December.
Agreement to produce one billion doses

RT-PCR and antibody tests have been performed. The Serum Institute of India has entered into an agreement with the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to produce 1 billion doses of the vaccine in the country.

The vaccine is completely safe and effective, according to a report published in the medical journal The Lancet. Following this information, Oxford's Vaccine Front Runner has topped the list of vaccines. The University of Oxford has also stated that the vaccine, called AZD1222, provides a good immune response.
