TCS prepares to deal else with workers doing two jobs
The country’s largest IT services company Tata Consultancy Services( TCS) has indicated not to be strict with its workers who are working for any other customer while in the company. Despite being an hand of one company, doing another job is called ‘ Moonlighting ’.
The Chief Operating Officer( COO) of TCS said that action against Moonlighting can affect in loss of career of an individual and hence it's important to show some empathy in dealing with the issue. He said that nothing prevents the company from taking action against the workers who do so as it has been clarified in the service agreement. still, the youth will have to get down from it. He said, “ Action against similar workers can beget major damage to their career. They won't be suitable to pass the background check for the coming job. We've to show some sympathy for this. ”
He said that some IT Companies work on such a model that they aren't bothered by freelancers. TCS’s guests include large global companies and similar exertion can not be permitted as client data has to be defended. TCS has over six lakh workers and the company has hired around 1.35 lakh freshers this time. The company’s net profit in the alternate quarter of the current fiscal time has increased by nearly 8 percent to Rs,431 crore. The company has also blazoned an interim tip of Rs 8 per share.
Lately company asked its workers to work from office at least three days a week. TCS had told in an dispatch transferred to the workers that they would have to work from office for three days in a week as per the canon prepared by their administrator. Action can be taken on behalf of the company against the workers who violate this. still, no timeline was given for this in the dispatch. A many weeks ago, the company encouraged workers to come to the office through social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
